Job Title: Electrical Engineer Location: Yeovil, UK (Hybrid) 3 onsite 2 at home Pay Rate: 72 per hour Hours: 37hrs per week minimum. 09:00-16:00 Monday-Thursday, 09:00-12:00 on Friday About the Role: Honeywell Aerospace Technologies in Yeovil is seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to support the design and development of advanced electronic controllers used in Environmental Control Systems and Life Support Systems. Our products are used across nearly every commercial, defence, and space aircraft platform, contributing to safer, more efficient, and more innovative aerospace solutions. The Yeovil site is a major design, development, and manufacturing centre, offering world class test and qualification facilities and a rich aviation heritage. You will join our Electronic Controllers team - a multidisciplinary group responsible for designing high integrity hardware that integrates with specialised software to meet stringent aerospace requirements. This role focuses on full lifecycle electronics engineering, supporting projects from initial concept and documentation through detailed design, test, verification, manufacturing support, and in service issue resolution. We are seeking an engineer with strong analogue and digital circuit design skills, ideally from aerospace or another highly regulated industry (e.g., nuclear, rail). Key Responsibilities Support end to end electronics design lifecycle, from concept and requirements through production and in service support. Define and document electronics requirements, design plans, and specifications. Design analogue and digital circuits, progressing concepts through to complete PCB layouts and full manufacturing drawing packs. Produce all supporting design, verification, and test documentation required for certification and manufacturing. Participate in and contribute to design reviews, clearly communicating technical content to both technical and non technical stakeholders. Ensure compliance with all relevant quality processes, standards, and regulatory requirements. Work closely with internal manufacturing teams and external suppliers to ensure smooth new product introduction, including PCB build, assembly, test, and system integration. Provide expert technical support for manufacturing issues and in service investigations across the product range. Required Qualifications & Experience Degree (or equivalent experience) in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline. 3+ years of electronics design experience within aerospace or another highly regulated sector (e.g., nuclear, rail). Strong understanding of electronics design principles and industry best practices. Proficient in low power digital circuit design. Solid understanding of low frequency analogue interface design. Experience using industry standard ECAD tools (Mentor Graphics preferred). Knowledge of DFM (Design for Manufacture) and DFT (Design for Test) methodologies. Familiarity with EMC design and qualification requirements. Strong analytical and problem solving abilities. Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail.
