Permanent Consultant - Civil Engineering - Established agency is seeking a Permanent Consultant with experience of white-collar construction recruitment to manage a HOT desk focused on the supply of Civil Engineers for key infrastructure projects within the Rail and Highways sectors.

Established in the 60s, they have been supplying people, projects, and services for major UK rail and construction projects into both industries for over 30 years.

This is an exceptional opening for an experienced Permanent Consultant to take advantage of key client accounts that includes Balfour Beatty, Morgan Sindall, Vinci, BAM Nuthall, and Costain amongst other to build a profitable desk.

Essentially, they are seeking an experienced consultant with excellent candidate attraction and account management skills.

Salary £25,000 to £40,000 (DOE), Commission Structure to 30% (no threshold), Car Allowance, 25 days holiday. Pay rises based on billing performance. A grown-up environment without restrictive KPIs.

Proven experience gained within a Construction recruitment agency is essential.

Established in the 1960s - 70 million turnover. As well as being one of the largest skilled labour and staff suppliers to the UK's construction and rail companies, we also undertake rail and construction contracts. We operate in all types of civil engineering environments including roads and bridges, airports, nuclear facilities, utilities, mainline and underground rail.

This vacancy is for a permanent consultant, full-time role based in the UK. Applicants must have independent legal authorisation to live and work in the UK.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a hot desk focused on the supply of Civil Engineers for rail and highways infrastructure projects.
  • Develop and maintain key client accounts (examples include Balfour Beatty, Morgan Sindall, Vinci, BAM Nuthall, Costain).
  • Attract and place high-quality candidates while managing the end-to-end recruitment process.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to build a profitable desk and meet business targets.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Proven experience within a Construction recruitment agency is essential.
  • Experience with white-collar recruitment in civil engineering or related infrastructure sectors is preferred.
  • Based in the UK with independent legal authorisation to live and work in the UK.
