Principal Structural Engineer

Our client is currently looking for Principal Structural Engineers to join their team on a permanent basis or on a long term contract that can either be worked Inside IR35 or Outside IR35. The client is based in the Trafford area of Manchester and would be offering the opportunity of hybrid working with a flexibility dependant on experience. Candidates must have the right to work within the UK already established.

The client will be looking for candidates that have a minimum of 10 years experience in Structural Engineering and/or design at a senior or principal capacity, they will also be looking for candidates that have had experience in structural design roles involving the following: Rail, Water, Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Highways and Bridges.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the design team produce design deliverables that satisfy safety and quality requirements as well as approving design deliverables, DRAs, reports and specifications. Candidates must also guide design in compliance with relevant technical, professional and water company standards as well as demonstrating they have working experience/knowledge of concrete detention tanks.

This role will be working in the water industry with the initial project being on the design of concrete detention tanks to store sewage during storm conditions.
