Are you a Mechanical Engineer ready to step into a high-impact role on one of the UK's most critical nuclear programmes? We're supporting a key delivery partner on the PFDO project at Sellafield, and we're looking for a Mechanical Engineer or Senior Mechanical Engineer to help drive engineering excellence across complex, safety-critical work.
The Opportunity You'll play a vital role in delivering engineering and technical activities across the project lifecycle-bringing your expertise to solve complex challenges and ensure high-quality outputs in a regulated environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a flagship nuclear programme, collaborating with experienced teams while contributing to the safe and efficient delivery of major works.
What You'll Be Doing - Deliver mechanical engineering solutions across design and project phases
- Resolve complex technical issues using your specialist knowledge
- Produce and review technical reports, calculations, and documentation
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and stakeholder requirements
- Support and guide junior engineers within the team
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Work independently or as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer or Senior Engineer
- Background in highly regulated industries (ideally nuclear)
- Strong technical problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience producing and reviewing engineering documentation
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Key Details
- Location: Warrington (3 days onsite, hybrid working)
- Rate: 51- 61/hour (Inside IR35)
- Clearance: BPSS minimum (higher clearance beneficial)
