Responsibilities and duties of the Graduate Quality Engineer role Within the role you will: Support the implementation and maintenance of quality procedures, inspection plans and project quality requirements Translate engineering drawings, specifications and standards into effective shop floor controls Verify product conformity through inspection and documentation review across fabrication and welding processes Identify, report and support investigation of non-conformances, contributing to root cause analysis and corrective actions Maintain accurate quality documentation, including traceability records and certification packs Assist with internal, customer and third-party audits Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure compliance and resolve quality issues Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve process control
Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following: Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Materials, Welding, Aerospace or related engineering discipline (or equivalent) Ability or willingness to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications Structured, evidence-based problem-solving approach Strong communication skills, both written and verbal High level of personal ownership and integrity Eligibility to work in the UK and obtain security clearance if required
