| Description: | Graduate Engineer - Great Yarmouth, Sizewell B and Sizewell C. We are looking for talented engineers who are graduating, or are recently graduated, to join the Risktec team at our Office in Great Yarmouth, Sizewell B & Sizewell C Nuclear Power Stations. Candidates must have a clear interest in a career in the nuclear industry and has a drive to work and learn valuable engineering skills in a dynamic environment. We require a Graduate Engineer, who is local to the area or is genuinely willing to relocate to this area, this is vital as commuting between the 3 locations requires you to be in situ to the location. No hybrid working is offered for this role. The ideal Graduate will work alongside experienced Systems Engineers to support the safe and reliable operation of several complex engineering systems on site. Disciplines Considered We will consider engineers who are graduating in Civil engineering, or have graduated in the following disciplines at minimum BEng or BSc level:
Other disciplines where modules have been covered in Nuclear Operations/Engineering will also be considered. Engineers who have been graduated for over 1 year and have relevant experience will also be considered. Duration of Position Full-time (38h/week) with an initial fixed duration of 1 years with a view to make permanent. The Role We are seeking talented engineers who are graduating or have recently graduated to join our collaborative team based in Great Yarmouth and onsite at Sizewell B/C. The successful candidates will support the delivery of construction engineering, safety case updates and project management to several major projects within the nuclear power generation sector. Such projects include site wide modifications at Sizewell B, civil engineering projects to support the construction of Sizewell C and safety case work for EDF Design Authority. Across the Risktec south of England nuclear wider team individuals are involved in work supporting commissioning activities at Hinkley Point C and safety case documentation for Small Module Reactor Generic Design Assessments. As part of this role, you will gain a broad and in depth understanding of risk management, design and operations within a large generating site. Security Clearance Checks Due to the nature of the work, candidates must have a suitable background and a valid UK working status that will allow them to achieve UK security clearance. (please note that this is very difficult to achieve within the timescales for non-UK nationals, and all applicants will be subject to a screening process prior to interview to ensure that you meet the security clearance criteria).
