Principal CS&A Engineer

  • Location: Warrington 2/3 days per week in office
  • Contract: 12 months
  • Rate: £65 per hour, Inside IR35

Are you an experienced Principal Civil, Structural and Architectural Engineer looking to play a key role on a major nuclear project?
This is an excellent opportunity to support the delivery of complex civil, structural and architectural design work within a highly regulated environment. You will work alongside a skilled multidisciplinary team, providing technical leadership while helping to deliver safe, compliant and high-quality engineering solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:
Producing and reviewing calculations, drawings, assessments, specifications and technical reports
Delivering civil and structural designs for steel, concrete and masonry structures
Ensuring designs comply with current codes, standards and CDM requirements
Providing technical leadership, coaching and mentoring to junior team members
Working independently while coordinating effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams
Supporting the successful delivery of design packages through the project lifecycle

Essential experience
Strong civil and structural design experience, ideally within nuclear new build or existing nuclear facilities
Experience designing steel, reinforced concrete and masonry structures
Proven ability to lead, coach and motivate engineering teams
Strong understanding of current design codes, CDM regulations and designer responsibilities
At least three years' experience within a highly regulated industry
Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
Chartered, Incorporated or actively working towards professional registration
Ability to manage priorities and deliver high-quality work with minimal supervision

Desirable experience
Previous nuclear or Sellafield experience
Seismic assessment or design experience
Knowledge of sustainable design principles
