My client is a well-established medium sized engineering business with a long history and exciting plans for business growth. They are a medium to heavy fabrication bsuiness who specialise within the Nuclear, Aersospace & O&G sectors. They are looking to strengthen their team and appoint an Manurfacturing Engineer which will be baed at ther site in Oldham. The successful candidate will be expected to conduct in-depth analysis of existing manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement. Role and Responsibilities - Develop and implement strategies to streamline workflows, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
- Apply lean principles to eliminate waste and improve production efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards by identifying and addressing quality issues.
- Implement quality control measures and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality.
- Analyse production costs and propose cost-effective solutions without compromising quality or safety.
- Evaluate machinery and tooling for efficiency and recommend upgrades or replacements as needed.
- Provide training to machine operators and shop floor employees on new processes and best practices.
- Lead or participate in continuous improvement activities to drive ongoing enhancements in operations.
- Ensure that all processes and workflows comply with safety regulations.
- Identify and mitigate safety hazards to maintain a safe work environment.
Qualifications: - Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or machine shop environment.
- Proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and best practices.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
