A firm with over 130 years of engineering excellence are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their growing team.
In this key role, you will be responsible for the design and development of low voltage switchgear and motor control centres (MCCs) for industrial and commercial applications such as Nuclear and Defence. This is an exciting opportunity to work on challenging projects from concept through to delivery, contributing to innovative and reliable engineering solutions.
This a is growing team of already 10 highly experienced engineers who have a wealth of knowledge to share to help you grow and develop your current skills in these very niche sectors. Job Responsibilities -
Design and specify low voltage switchgear and MCC control centres to relevant standards. -
Develop detailed electrical schematics, GA drawings, wiring diagrams and BOMs using CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN or similar). -
Perform load calculations, equipment sizing and protective device coordination. -
Ensure compliance with customer specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations. Experience Required: -
Proven experience in the design of LV switchgear and motor control centres (MCCs). -
Strong understanding of electrical design principles, protection systems, and control circuits. -
Experience with PLC integration and automation systems.  |
