Our client, a leading organisation in the defence sector, is currently seeking a Security Cleared Planner to join their team in Plymouth. This role is available on a permanent or contract basis and involves working on a diverse portfolio of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full build and management of schedules, ensuring effective interfaces and stakeholder engagement
- Maintenance and management of baselines to support contractual and performance metrics
- Conducting meetings and workshops to challenge project progress and performance
- Supporting Planning/Project Controls Managers in maintaining schedules and their interfaces
- Managing contract requirements related to schedules
- Providing advanced hierarchical reporting outputs such as Earned Value Management (EVM)
- Integration of function correlating schedule, cost, and risk
- Critical path evaluation and scenario planning to mitigate issues and improve efficiencies
Job Requirements:
- Experience with multiple large projects
- Experience in contract management (NEC, Defence, Nuclear)
- Demonstrable experience within regulated environments (MOD/Nuclear/Ports)
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Advanced reporting techniques
- Integrated multi-discipline project controls skillset
- Professional memberships or accreditations
- Strong business awareness
- Proactive approach to planning innovation
- Strong experience in planning fundamentals
- Proficiency in P6/Asta/MSP
- Experience in PMO, programme/portfolio structures
- Cost/resource loading experience
- EVM experience
- Critical path analysis expertise
- Tender experience
- Mentorship/leadership experience
- Strong risk management experience, including QSRA
- Expertise in schedule checks and assurance measures
