You will do this by working closely with the engineering teams from across the power station and applying a structured systems engineering approach to design.
Key Results & Achievements:

  • Analyses and translates high level requirements into a validated design for the electrical system/component.
  • Captures applicable design constraints (must meet conditions) and quality attributes (may be traded) that apply to the system/component.
  • Captures requirements/constraints in line with the project's processes for management of interfaces and requirements (e.g., requirements captured in IBM DOORS).
  • Designs and implements electrical designs to meet design inputs.
  • Works with the Verification team to define verification activities.
  • Analyses electrical designs for functional behaviour, which may include modelling and simulation to demonstrate that the design meets the high-level requirements. Develops and reviews electrical tests that will provide evidence to demonstrate that the electrical requirements have been satisfied.
  • Participates in and supports capacity planning and the development of long-term strategic goals for the team, in conjunction with managers.
  • Identifies and mitigates risks.
  • Develops, implements, documents, and maintains policies, procedures, associated guidelines, tools, and training as required.
