Cost Engineer - Major Defence Infrastructure Project Burghfield, Berkshire (RG30 3RR) Hybrid possible. 3 days/wk on site (Thurs / Fri / Monday) and 2 days remote 70 per hour/Inside IR35 26-Week Contract
Are you an experienced Cost Engineer looking for your next high-profile contract? This is an opportunity to join a major UK defence infrastructure programme, supporting the delivery of complex, safety-critical projects in a fast-paced and highly regulated environment. Working as part of an established Project Controls team, you'll play a key role in developing and managing project budgets, monitoring costs, forecasting financial performance, and providing accurate reporting to support successful project delivery. The role involves cost planning, change control, earned value management, forecasting, risk and opportunity management, and working closely with project and commercial teams throughout the project lifecycle.

We're Looking For You'll ideally have:
- Significant experience as a Cost Engineer within major engineering, infrastructure, nuclear or defence projects.
- Strong knowledge of cost control, forecasting, budgeting, change management and earned value management.
- Experience supporting projects through the full lifecycle, from planning through to close-out.
- Excellent stakeholder management and reporting skills.
- Experience using project controls and cost management systems in complex environments.
Essential Requirements
- Eligible for SC Security Clearance (you can start on BPSS, provided your SC clearance is in progress).
- Must have lived and worked in the UK continuously for the last 5 years.
- Valid CSCS or ECS card before starting.
