Overview Join a high-performing engineering team delivering complex, regulated projects across multiple sectors. You'll take ownership of structural analysis activities-ensuring designs are robust, compliant, and delivered to quality, time, and budget. What you'll do - Perform stress and structural analysis (hand calcs + FEA where needed)
- Work closely with design engineers to solve real-world engineering problems
- Produce and check design substantiation reports
- Act as the technical authority for analysis, including subcontractor work
- Influence designs early to improve manufacturability, cost, and performance
- Support planning, mentoring, and continuous improvement of analysis methods
What we're looking for - Strong experience in stress analysis & hand calculations (Mathcad)
- Knowledge of relevant standards (e.g. Eurocodes / lifting or structural codes)
- Background in a highly regulated environment (nuclear, defence, etc.)
- Experience with FEA tools (ANSYS, Abaqus, Nastran or similar)
- Ability to interrogate designs and define load cases (static, dynamic, fatigue)
- Confident communicator, able to justify analysis to stakeholders
